Concept Casual game
Hello,
This time I want to share my concept for a casual game,
For the lesson game design me and my fellow students had to think about a concept for a casual game, that we actually gonna make in the next period of school, after each student has his concept, they had to work it out, and make a prototype, after that we had to make the art that we will use for our game trailer, and game.
MY CONCEPT
Story
A little monster lives in a big overcrowded city, he even can't see the sunlight.
his biggest dream is that he can fly away from the city, but the city is to built up.
But he has a idea, he decided to go ta a very powerfull wizard who can move or destroy objects.
the wizard really wants to help him and agree, he's gonna help the little monster flying away from the city.
The little monster grabs three big balloons.
GOAL
You play as the wizard on your ipad or i phone, you must move several different objects in different directions, by sliding or pushing on the touchscreen, your goal is too lead the little monster to the next level by quickly moving objects around him, the little monster may not touch any of those objects or he will lose a balloon, he has three balloons, so if he lose all he falls down, and Its game over.
OBJECTS
In my casual game are several objects,
Like the wrecking ball
You can swing this object by pushing on the touchscreen and slide it in an direction you prefer, so the litlle monster can pass by, without getting hit by a big ball.
Big birds
these annoying birds are flying arround dont let them hit the little monster or he will lose a balloon, make these birds fall to the ground by quickly pushing on them.
Wooden beam
These wooden beams are easy to move just slide them left or right (horizontal), depends on which side the wooden beam is placed.
Metal bar
These metal bars are just like the wooden beams, only bigger and harder to move, slide three times, left or right( horizontal) depends on which side the metal bars are placed.
Rope
Ropes, just slide up or down ( vertical ) to cut the rope.
Metalwire
Slide two times up and down to cut the wire.
that's it for now, on my next blog you'll read more about my casual game, I will also show some artwork.

Concept Art Pirate kid
Hello everybody,
I just have made a new concept art of a pirate kid, about nine years old, the concept art was a assignment for school, you had the choice of making a pirate, a assasin. or a world of warraft character, I picked the pirate because one of my fellow students just had a good idea, about making pirate kids that lived on a Island, with their own funny deadly weaponsweapons and tactics, for example a toy parrot, that can be used as a deadly slingshot wepon with sharp knives on it.
The intention was to make a funny childish pirate with oversized clothes.
So we started working together on two different pirates with their unique weapons, and story.
First I did some research, i collected several images with pirates on it from internet, to get some inspiration,
I have made the pirate kid in photoshop, and i have spend about 5 hours to make it. everything you see i have brushed.
well that's all for now, below you can see my working progress of the pirate kid, I hope you like it.

Creating a tomb raider level in UDK 2
Hello there agian,
I just finished, my udk level where i talked about in my last blog.
Instead of four puzzles the teacher decided we had to create two out of four, because next period we are going to work with another engine, so I finished my tombraider level with the switch puzzle and a water puzzle, but the water puzzle isn’t working yet because of some problems, beside that I made the level look like a real tomb raider level, with jungle plants, trees, old stones, ruins.
I made the switch puzzle work that if you have the right combination of triggers, a door will open,
i just really got into the detailing of my level so it would give you the feeling of a tomb raider level.
well this is the end of my blog and the end of my tomb raider level, Below I have some ingame images of my finished level I hope you like it.

Creating a tomb raider level in UDK
Hello there,
For the lesson Game engines we had to create a tomb raider level in udk( unreal development kit), that is a often used engine by big company's, in udk u can create a whole game but that takes a very long time.
Now back to my tomb raider level, my assignment was to create a level that looks like a level from tomb raider, I had to create four puzzles, one switch puzzle, one water puzzle, a time puzzle, and a light puzzle.
I created the puzzles by using Kishmat, that is a visual program in unreal where you can build the scripts for a level, so if you want someting to move, Kishmat is your man.
Now more about the puzzles
For the switch puzzle I maded four triggers those triggers can be activated by standing within the trigger, the triggers I scripted in kishmat, so if you have the right combination a door will open. so you pass through to the next puzzle! u can see my level and puzzle on the images below.
the other puzzles aren't ready yet, so more about those puzzles in my next blog.
well this was it for now, soon another blog about udk.

Samurai Concept Art
THE BEGINNING
This week we had to make a acient samurai warrior in photoshop, for school.
First I started with the research, I collected several images with samurai warriors, samurai swords, and samurai armor, on it, so I could use them as example for drawing.
I also collected some images of poses, for the pose of my samurai warrior.
THUMBNAILING
After I did research I started to make some thumbnails for the pose of my samurai, for that I used a picture.
I started drawing over the picture with a black brush to create a kind of shadow of a man.
then I started sketching within the black thumbnail, with a small white brush, to make construction lines for the armor, and clothing.
COLLOUR
When i finished with the construction lines I added some color on the different parts of my samurai warrior.
I started with painting the armor and the clothing, i tried some different colors, to look if it would fit, after i found the right color, i started painting and added some shadows and highlights.
DETAILS
then I got into making details on the clothing and armor, i added some patterns on the clothing and armor, to make the character more intresting, and started with making the head, for the head i used a traditional japanese , i wanted to make him very creepy so I gave him a sort of demon mask.
i added a working progess of my samurai with this message so u can see my steps and my progess. click on the image to see it bigger.
